PS: Went to Patty Griffin last night at the Ryman. She was awesome, so inspiring to see a 40+ year old rocking out still. i love the idea of LONG TERM singer songwriter with so much to say/sing still. She wore a pretty pale green dress with her staple red shoes. You could hear a pen drop during her ballads and the place rocked while she and Doug Lancio lit up the stage with his crazy amazing guitar skills. She is one of the few artist who can still silence the Nashville Egos at the Ryman…. Check out Children Running Through, and a song called UP TO THE MOUNTAIN, written after watching a documentary on Martin Luther King.
